The Ranch · Whole-house
Three bedrooms on a crest above the river, built from stone and timber with the windows pointed at the mesa. It takes the whole party, which is the point of it.

What there is
Two bedroom suites with their own bathrooms, a third and largest bedroom with a king, a half bath upstairs, and enough table to sit twelve between the two floors.
Why it works
Stone walls, exposed log beams, and a run of windows along the side that faces the mesa. The house was put up by people who lived here, and it is unfussy in the way that buildings are when nobody was designing them to be photographed.
It runs on solar, draws its own water, and sits far enough from anything that the loudest thing at night is the river.

The rooms

Off grid
Solar power, a natural water supply, and a septic system the ranch maintains itself. It works, and it is quiet, and it asks one thing of you in return: don't leave the tap running.
Drinking water comes from the dispenser rather than the tap. We will show you where everything is when you arrive.
Getting here
The ranch sits on a hundred and thirty acres at the end of a dirt road, ringed by public land. Bring what you need for the stay — a whole house of people is a lot to drive back into town for.
